The Church Hall for St Mary's was designed in 1981 by Quinlan Terry in a vernacular classical Georgian style to match that of church (John Plaw 1791). The setting is pure rus in urbe, a little piece of village England beside the westway. |

St. Mary's Church is on Paddington Green, W2 and the Church Hall is just on the west side on St Mary's Square at the end of St Mary's Terrace. The nearest tube is Edgware Road (Bakerloo). |

'Don't Shoot the Architect' (1986)
The documentary examines the attempts of British architects to alter British architectural policies and explores the need and to provide an architectural heritage for the 1980s. It features interviews with former president of the Royal Institute of British Architects Michael Manser and architect Richard Rogers, whose design for an office block in London in the 1980s was turned down by city planners.
